Alicia Beeny, LLMSW, CADC
Hi there! My name is Alicia Beeney.
I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Eastern Michigan University, and a Masters in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. I have a background in working with substance use disorders, trauma-informed care, and formerly incarcerated individuals. I have worked primarily with young and older adults, in both inpatient and outpatient settings & residential facilities. Prior to my background in mental health, I completed a service year with AmeriCorps, serving as a partner to the American Red Cross. In my time there, I was an educator for young children about home fire safety, completed intakes & assessments to get individuals impacted by home fires set up with aid, and conducted outreach for those in need of smoke detectors throughout Wayne, Oakland, and Washtenaw County. When I’m not working, I usually am at home, spending time with my husband and 2 cats, Diablo & Penny. We both love going bowling & watching Red Wings games. I am a big video game enthusiast too. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do & have actually been to 4 other countries!
